as I'm going to do mine soon but not sure if i want the whole boot smothd and mmove the plate or keep the plate but smoth everything else arrgghhh help lol :)

isit hard to smove the handle cos obuisly it sticks out from the boot anyway does it come completly off then u just fill the hole?

Yer the whole unit comes out mate

do i have to like block off the hole first so the smoothing stuff doesent falll into the boot or isit more simpler than that

It needs welding with a plate yeah the same as the badge tbh

All I can say is if you smooth the boot completely you need to then find a home for the plate, as sticking it on somewhere guff or in the window looks garbage and seems daft to spend money smoothing to then do a half Arsed job by shoving the plate somewhere not thought out

Grafting a new recess into the bumper to fit properly will finish the job off like mikes baby blue one above will obviously then cost more so factor this into your decision.

test richies was the best example of smoothing the boot but finding and making a number plate recess in the bumper work. my old polo i only smoothed the badge but wished i had done the handle as it is quite ugly.
