8v 1300 inlet manifold blanks, for bike carbs

Featured Replies

Very interested in one for my 1.4 8v 6n engine. I'll sort out my tubing and let you know asap. Quick question, how do you join the bike carbs to the tubing?! I've never known! been looking at my carbs in the unit and simply can't work it out... any ideas?

Most people use like a jubilee clip to clamp it on , there are some good pics in the FAQ section

if that is the same port layout as the mk3 1.3 one of mine will do.. i am joining mine with 40mm long lengths of radiator tubing, and stainless jubilee clips.. the rad tubing seems better than the samco sillicone, as because of its rubbery nature it sticks to the tube really well with its own friction.. with the help of the jubilee clips and ridges in on the end of the tubes the carbs fit super solid.

i have more radiator tube, if you would be wanting some. what carbs do you have?

i will post some pics of the mani i'm making as soon as i get the first manifold flange back from the cutters. if this is a good fit i think i'm gonna get another 5 made up so will have a little stock for anyone who wants one.. i could also be persuaded to make up a few manifolds as well..

gasket ordered, will have it monday, should get the drawing done in the morning... then about 5 days to get it cut... so early the week after for delivery... cheers.

I'm wanting to get one made for my engine . the gasket you have ordered is it just the rubber seal ? and could i just order that and give that to who i want to do my mani ? cheers

to be honest, instead of getting the gasket then paying someone else to draw it up then either machine the blank or laser cut it, it will work out loads cheaper to buy one off me or the guy on ebay selling them, as all the time consuming work is already done,..

do you know what layout the ports are? is the head the same as the 1.3? if so one of the ones i already have would do you, if not i would need to draw it up and then get it cut... same mission as for prankstar... pm me and i'll send you my number and we can talk it out...

cheers. dan.

please can i have one for a 900CC engine for my little mk1, stainless would be lovely but I'm not all that fussed really.

I'm guessing its a smaller port than the 1 + litre jobbies.

If you could offer me the whole you buy the gasket and get it matched up and post it out to me that would be great.

send me a PM or email me at tom.healey@smartofstevenage.co.uk

I have paypal or i can transfer money directly to you no probs.

Thanks

Price for a blank in stainless posted please. Also, if you have tubing that can join to it would be interested in that too. :)

edit: Actually, just mild steel for me. Presume £20 posted yes? Also, if you're feeling handy I would consider a full manifold for CBR600 carbs pending a price. Ta. :)

hi chap, yes, i can do you one, i would need to check the port layout and get one cut, sadly i'm not able to make up manifolds at the mo, i'm in the middle of a massive timber build in my workshop and i can't risk the metal contamination, pm me with any useful details and i'll be back in touch.

cheers. dan.

My blank turned up today, and it's mint. Many thanks :)

ok. so i've had them cut, the fit is a perfect copy of the gasket shape, in 8mm mild steel, 2mm thicker than the one's on ebay,

i will be selling them for £15 each plus postage.

they are top quality and make the whole mission of making your own manifold much easier...

i will also be able to get one's for the small block round port engines aea, aee etc but these will be to order. also these blanks can be cut any thickness, stainless, aluminium or mild steel dependant on preference...

take about a week for me to get hold of.

anyone down in cornwall can come pic one up if they around fal area..

pics...
