whats going on with this forum seriously? seems like the only user's left are a bunch of grannys pulling at each others hair, and i've read some of the most ridiculous comments in my entire life in 2-3 days of catching up on here

having been on this forum since 2005, when it used to actually be a fun/helpful/knowledgable place to be, i've seen it turn into a big ol' slag fest for no apparent reason sort it out lads, seriously acting like a herd of wet p*ssies

one comment that stood out for me was from a user whos been on here for what, 2 months:

"i know but least i wont be paying a shit load of money like you mummy's boys to get my car worked on when i can do it my self and do just a good of a job"

disagree with me if you want, but its kinda sad how the popularity of this forum is now just attracting big-headed goons like that who, without even an so much as a friendly introduction, log on an run their mouths off disgusting

I agree theres nothing wrong with a bit of banter but some people do need to take a deep breath and realise its only a car forum, its not the end of the world if someone disagrees with you.

And as for the off-topic, heres an idea: how about having just one off-topic thread where people can chat shit, and post stupid shit they come across. That way its easy to moderate, it wont rinse bandwidth like a whole new section, and it gives people room to let off steam without it being hard to keep under control. Then its the end of the 'bring back off topic' bitching, and requires so little effort from the mods that it doesnt make their lives harder.

the only thing i find with this forum is there is a lot of regurgitated shit that people who havnt actually done anything to there cars (probabley never even jacked the fucker up) but yet they seem to think they know everything, i think its mostly caused by jelousy because they cant mod there cars for whatever reason. another thing that annoys me is low balling e.g. one user selling his wheels for £600 and some bell end coming in and saying ah mate give you £200 or even better... i'll swap you for my teardrops and £100 LOL

I agree, Gugz. It is going through a dark phase. I'm seeing a few issues and i dont know if they're all related or what.

With no off-topic, there's less community. Now yeah we all know why it went,it was a fucking kindergarten,and when someone had to take something on the chin it wasn't accepted. Coulda just been nipped in the bud,but it all went a bit Hiroshima. No names,no elaboration,and that's just my opinion. Either way,it turned the heating down and hasn't warmed up since.

Another is the lack of general childishness from the usual suspects. I know I'm a bit serious on here but fucking hell its like a morgue. It does get a bit out of hand when people try to talk tech and just get taken the piss out of,but the other extreme and it gets like a library. I never noticed the site clowns to be a problem. Even the scenesters who looked down their noses kept some sort of balance.

Then there are the lined-up teen yobs with their attitude,and post count lower than their mental age. Got a 6n off a mate in the 'hood for the price of a smoke,and its shit its gearbox so someone's gonna pay. And that someone is us,cos they dont need to risk getting put down about it. Not much we can do there as a community,guess the Polo is more popular as a knobheads first car than previously. Plus the general decline in mutual respect these days.. Well that's a typical view of the middle aged,so maybe that's just me.

But it aint just me feeling that this place just isn't fun anymore. I laughed at someone who refurbished a set of alloys,only to find they didn't fit - as you would,but got shot down for it by a long standing member. Is it that fucking miserable in here? Hell yeah.

So we got a bit of love in the room. Well,its a start.
