(talking in general) there should be a couple of bolts behind the steering wheel to pop the airbag if it has one or just the horn push. you can take this off before getting the steering wheel into a 'neutral' position. what you need to do is drive the car a few meters forward and back. the steering wheel may look off but thats ok. (make sure the driving back and for is on a pretty level surface. there is a big nut under your horn/airbag. this needs to be undone with a suitable sized socket and bar, or ratchet. take care in holding the steering wheel where it is. (might help with two people) once the nut is cracked unwind it and pull the steering wheel off the splines and put it back on as straight as possible. then rebuild in reverse order :)
