Just encase.. haha

IMG_0789.jpg

new clear indicators, need to refurb the headlights to match though!

Decided to spray one of my wheels to see what they would look like with the spokes a different colour, went for BMW Sparkling Graphite.

IMG_0008.jpg

IMG_0009.jpg

The finish came out nice considering it was sprayed in the shed with halfords paint. Ignore the dodgey masking skills aroud the base of the spokes, I'm going to tidy them up with some rubbing compound. I just need to decide if I like it before spraying the rest.

Seriously need to paint my drums black

Also mounted the amps on the back of the seats. I left a big gap between them for mounting the distribution block.

Cheers! Yea it is a nice colour, although I'm thinking of doing them black now haha.

Tested the distribution block, looks quite cool:

Fitted the discs, pads and painted the calipers.

how much were your new disks and pads?

PM sent :)

I also had a minor problem, I wanted to use 4 gauge power cable throughout without needing to drop down to a smaller gauge to connect to the tiny connection blocks on the amps. I overcame this with a 4 to 8 gauge adapter from ebay:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...e=STRK:MEWNX:IT

It didn't quite fit in my amp so I had to grind a bit off on the bench grinder but its now a tight fit and works great.

It was £4 for one, which is why I only bought 1 as a sample. I need 3 more of these :tear: If anyone knows a cheaper source, that would be great.

Happy with the way they turned out and the edges are a lot neater this time thanks to the pin striping tape.

Bought a Pipercross cone filter and a load of ducting pipes cheap on ebay. I just need some silicone couplers.

I've been busy with work so haven't done much to the car recently. Next time I get some free time I'm going to fit the induction kit and do a couple of other little bits.

Let me know when you want to sell the cups's

  • Author

Already sold them, sorry mate!

I'd say personally, 14's are too small, but could look cool if you do it right

Haha I like it how you put the belts on the wheels in the back seats

I agree with Prox though, needs to be very low to eliminate that arch gap and tyre with 14's.

  • Author

Thanks for the replies guys, I agree that 14s are too small but Steffan RSs are one of my favourite wheels and couldn't resist when I had the chance to buy them. If they made them in 15s I would buy them. I often drive long distances, with 4 (sometimes 5) people + luggage and boot install so I doubt I would ever eliminate arch gap anyway. I will no doubt be slamming it on its ass for a few pics when I have the back wheels on :D

Need to get that radio put in properly :p i had the same problem the wires dont all fit in. you can bodge the piece below it and create some more room for wires :D

Haha I like it how you put the belts on the wheels in the back seats

I did it too now, Went round a corner and one wheel flew onto the other meaning i needed to refurb them

tidy looking olop!. I think 14's are good for 6n's and and 6n2's if you eliminate the arch gap. like i need too :doubt:

  • 2 weeks later...

Really good progress mate, really like what you did with the B-Pillars (Mod) was it hard taking the rear wiper out?

What else you got planned now?

Haha very true, it rattles like a mofo! I've already cut out the back part of the tray under the radio, I've got 3 sets of RCAs and all the wiring for the parot bluetooth kit behind there that need sorting.

Thanks! I de-wipered the rear when I replaced the tailgate. I removed the wiper arm and motor completely and then capped off the water supply tube.

My next plans are:

14x9j Steffan RSs for the back on a bit of a stretch

dubmeister pressed plates

gloss black roof

some front component speakers (current ones are ripped and blowing BAD)

maybe LaminX yellow fogs?

possibly some GTi leathers or some leather porsche 911/924 front seats

The back wheels have arrived!!

Since my last update I've also got pressed plates, lamin-X yellow fogs and some Team Heko wind deflectors which work really well. I will post some decent pictures soon, probably when the new wheels are on.

Popped on first time, no problem. I cannot rate "Hempsted Tyre and Battery" any higher, stretched both no hassles, valves, balancing - £10.

I will obviously be going lower, just a test fit.

392886_10150446041978125_777093124_10309

Photoshoot is coming up as soon as the cars detailed again and sitting lower at the rear.

The back end really needs to come down to match the front but first I need to lose the bean can for a stealthy tucked up pipe.
