I don't have any more plans for this car apart from keeping it clean and maintaining it. This week I fitted a Bosch S4 Silver battery and spent a few hours on headlight correction, I will try and get some pictures to show the improvement. I'm currently saving for £130 to tax the car and whatever insurance will be this year. After that I'm going to start saving for the next car.

I know it needs to go lower but this is my only car so its my daily and the back arches need to be rolled first but I will probably not bother if I'm selling up.

This is the car the day I bought it:

Its actually only done 49k but the dials were replaced.

The mods done by the previous owner:

Pink/purple Halfords 'Ripspeed' alloys (Now for sale, if anyone wants them? )

Scorpion back box

40mm (I think) Apex lowering springs

tinted front indicators

The car had a small crash, requiring a new bumper, bonnet and dash as the airbags deployed. A GTI was used as a donor car to fix it resulting in a few GTI parts:

Front bumper w/ fogs

Front radiator

Honeycomb grill

Xenon headlights

Rear spoiler

dashboard

chrome dials

Since owning it I have done a few things, the main thing being a damn good clean!

Replaced the worn gear stick gaitor.

£1.50 well spent!

I did toy with the idea of an iPhone dock in the coin tray.

The previous owner fitted 10 gauge wiring, I ripped it out and replaced with 4 gauge.

I then bought these as a temporary replacement until I can afford some deep dishes.

Plate holders, getting some dubmeister pressed plates soon.

Head light protectors, no pics of them fitted but they actually look quite good.

Polished sill protectors, £20 from ebay.

Thats it for now, I know I really need to take some decent pictures. A friend of mine is a photographer so hes going to take some for me once I give it a good polish and finish a few more mods.

I dont have a lot to spend but this a list of things I want to do gradually:

Central locking and an alarm (possibly door pops aswell)

Colour coded de-locked handles (rears from a 5 door)

Colour coded side and rear bumper trim to match the front

Black vinyl B Pillars

Pressed plates

GTI mats

A few audio upgrades, nothing OTT

Refurb and spray the BK wheels gunmetal grey

Then eventually I want to get a set of coilovers and some deep dish wheels :)

Well spotted, I recently took the strut off and refitted without checking the camber adjustment as I was in a hurry. I'm taking them off to clean and grease soon so will fix it soon.

Haha thanks, it was a spur of the moment thing as we had to take my mates van aswell to transport us around as my car was too low to take rear passengers lol, so we took the light off his van.

Well spotted! It will be good if you end up going to The Park, as it will need someone to carry on dubbing when I leave this year. I'm literally the only one apart from a girl that drives a standard height 6n With halfords wheels and pink stickers :p

The 'bits' are just dust. Not a bad finish considering I sprayed them in the garden with some Halfords paint.

I have since finished all the wheels, put them on the car and fitted the original suspension with 40mm springs.

The Steffan wheels and coilovers will be for sale soon! :(

What camera and lens did your mate use to take those pics above!?

I'm not 100% but I think its a Nikon D7000 and a 50mm Nikon Lense but would be better to ask him really lol.
