Also. my college has a massive speedbump on a slope, that actually slightly scrapes exhaust unless I go sideways... even at this height! Kinda limits the height I can have it..

car looks good mate. lower tyre profile an lower on the coils will have it sitting mint. just wondering how easy were the fogs to fit an wire up. considering doing it on mine

Cheers mate ye I agree about getting it lower - I had it right on the ground in the summer, but put it up for the mot and have left it there as its more practical in winter etc. Front tyres are brand new Toyo proxes and are 195/45 so can still go lower with no scrapage. The backs are 195/55 and as such would scrape loads if it was lower! But I do have another set of bbs style wheels that I've nearly finished refurbing that are all wrapped in budget low profile tyres - so will have them on for abit in the summer. Fogs are piss easy to fit literally just a case of bolting them in (I used some old bolts I had kicking around, might redo them soon as one of the bolts has come out), then getting the foglight grilles aswell. The wiring is all there for you, it's clipped up in a casing near the horn wiring if I remember correctly - if you get under the car with a torch you should be able to see it. To get them working I went to the local scrappie and got the foglight switch was 2 quid (don't waste money buying it through ebay for like 20 quid!) - Got mine from a bora I think, so not a big deal if you can't find a gti. Works perfectly and looks standard.

Cheers mate. I think with the bonnet bra and the black roof/mirrors the black bumper trims are ok really. But depends on the style you are going for. I think I'm probably going to be buying a GTI in silver this weekend - And They definitely look best all colour coded like yours.

Hi mate. It is relatively easy todo so I recommend you give it a go :) You will definitely need a competent helper. Take the aerial off and really give it a nice polish before application. Then start unrolling the wrap and sticking it down smoothing out bubbles as u go, if an area goes wrong lift it up and re-apply. Reckon on it taking about an hour and a half to do the whole roof. The key is to pull the wrap really tight, best way to do this is to have a mate standing on other side of the car and then you both smooth your sides as you go - hope that makes sense. Give it a go worst comes to worst you have to pull it off! I had never done it before and the end finish was pretty much perfect. We messed up the front a little bit, hence the stickerbomb strip! No water was needed, but we did use a hairdryer for the edges. Car is now sold! But I've bought the vinyl to do a gloss black wrap on my GTI

Oh and I bought it on ebay. the seller is no longer selling it, but theres lots available on there for cheap. Honestly, I just chose the cheapest and it was fine fortunately. I think if I was doing it again I'd opt for 3M stuff, more expensive but will probably last longer.
