I haven't had much time over the last year to be on here much, but there seems to be none of the old guys on here anymore? where did you all go? DIRT, Polomon etc etc

Polomon is still about, but he's recently moved house and has been busy with stuff going on in his personal life.

you cant have a laugh anymore loads of people just start crying about it and causing arguments

there use to be some proper slanging matches, my favourates where when people from other forums joined to get owned.

the members off topic was fun when was under control but i can see why it was closed, iv only been on here a year or so and its changed so much, i dont enjoy it nowhere near as much as i used to

It has its roots in the Yahoo E-groups of the 1990s. Club Polo was formed in 2000 when the Polo Coupe Owners Club and the Polo GT Owners Clubs combined - they used the polo-gt E-group for the club and bought the current www.clubpolo.co.uk domain name for a club website.

Porka.net was a spin-off from the Awesome GTI website forum, and appeared around 2002. Eventually the two combined, so that Porka.net became the forum for Club Polo.

There are still a few of us on here that were original Club Polo members!
