Soo I'm going to get some part worn tyres tomorrow fingers crossed!

Just wondering which will give a little bit of stretch and will sit a fair bit lower than my 165/65/13's.

I have my arches rolled all round and the car is lowered by 80mm. The width of my wheels are 6j and they are Revolution 4 spoke alloys.

I'm not after stupid stretch which i know you cant acheive on a 6j rim really but would be cool to have a little bit goinn' ornn!

I had 155's on 6j RA's and they were stretched a bit. I don't think anything wider than a 165 would look at all stretched though.

I'd say the 165's are better suited to a 6j wheel if that's the look you want, very small amount of stretch. 175's will sit flush.

As an aside, I wouldnt use part worms. I read a very interesting article today about them. Basically it says they are pretty shite. Do you really want to scrimp on the only part of the car that holds you to the road? Reading it put me off, as I was making inquirees about this today too. It's up to you obviously, just worth considering

I've always found part worms stick really well to tarmac. especially once they have dried out a bit.

Whats the deal with part worns? I've never had any probs with any of the part worn tyres that have been fitted to numerous cars and wheels I've bought. tyres are date stamped anyway, so you can check how old they are.

Not sure, it was in an article I was reading. Probably a biased one however due to it being a tyre dealer magazine. Good to get both sides if the story and yours seems like a good one!

Id rather the mrs had a part worn Continental than a new Turtlespeed.

Personally i prefer cheap tyres,as i like it a bit loose.
