Recommend me an MOT station

Featured Replies

MOT time soon and I'm looking for a recommendation for a decent MOT station close to Leicestershire, Derby, Coventry or Manchester.

I've used the council testing stations at Coventry and Leicester before and both have been OK (though in Cov they stole my phone charger). What I'm really after though is a friendly garage that will be sympathetic to spending a little extra time tweaking the emissions to get it through the test.

All recommendations welcome. Thanks.

theres loadsa garages around coventry that should sort you out, i cant name specifics as i dont go to any but i hear of my friends having exactly the same emissions as ''that fiesta in the car park'' etc

dude i cannot recommend mot masters in derby enough, the guys there are fantastic, and mark sandercock? one of the owners is well sound, hes worked late on a saturday to help me get my car mot'd so it could get its maiden voyage out to tatton park, and he helped me fiddle with the weber setup on the original HK setup, and let me sit and tweak my bike carbs on the afh lump in august just gone, to get a perfect reading on the machine.

tell him your a friend of safs with the yellow polo, karl and charlie and he'll sort you out =]

Have a look on there for good garages, dunno if they'll be sympathetic though.

Cheers guys! MOT Masters it is :D

As per PM, and what Saf's said. Go see Dale or Mark at MOT Masters, and tell them Saf, Charlie or myself sent you, and they'll look after you. They love to see older and unusual cars on the road as much as we do, so they're very willing to help you out and give pointers as to what needs doing or may need doing before the next MOT.

Just give them a quick call to book before you head down though.
