my o rings broke so i replaced them but there so stiff and not strechy i just used sum cuntre box ones just to hold it on

Yeah man my bad likewise was just to show to noise really ,i dont do that everyday as its quite bumpy and uncomfertable road

and I'm on a 4 speed box :)

Tiny update:

As the mk3 bottom rad hose was to small to reach the AEX thermostat housing i bought a metre log hose and when it was fitted the bends were restricting the water flow

so I've goot a Renault 5 GT Turbo top rad hose which has the bends in it fits like a glove :)

it also has a bleed screw which is quite cool

only selling the 1L parts etc no drugs

further plans is to get a coupe either afh with bike carbs and cams ,or aee with bike carbs and cams

the bready will either be broken or the back chopped off to make a paddy (polo caddy)

yeah its oryt like when I've got fuel

need a standard exhaust though and some new O rings as its knocking against the bumper and gets rather annoying lol

if i get some fuel i may see you round

i have a few issues I'm not happy with ie rocker cover coulor,blowing exhaust,also i want to go back to standard exhaust

Red thru the topic an i must say well done, love the idea of a 1.4 more-modern engine in a mk3. got a few questions for you, how hard was it to fit the engine in, on the pics it looks identical to the 1.0, it cant be that easy? and why not go all the way and swap the electronics, cant see the bike carbs being better than multi-point injection, but I'm a newbie so i might be wrong, and whats the difference in pulling power compared to the ol-faitful 1.0?

The new AEX engine fitson the same mounts it really is that easy

tbh id rather bike carbs to noise is just epic!!!!!!

and the pulling power is such a difference compared to the 1.0L engine

yes i dnt like the rocker cover but I've got some high temp spray coming for that ,apprently its a "stainless steal finish" paint but i cant see how

i will update as soon as I've got it through the post

UPDATE:

Got a full standard exhaust system everything exept the manifold coming,courtasy of a mate as I've done alot for his r5 recently

So the peco backbox is FOR SALE is anyones interested

mines blowing loads and this was cheap and freeee so why not :)

rocker cover sprayed silver and also did the fan cowling

de wipered my boot this morning aswell

UPDATE!

so.... not updated for a while due to lack of camera so heres what I've been upto

got a whole standard system as mine was fooked!

bought 500mm on 2 inch mild steal for a new tailpipe (abit like max's) sorry max

sprayed the rocker and fan cowling in high temp silver

I've removed the centre console as i thin it looks loads better

de-wipered the boot (excuse the shabby smoothed boot)

got a pipercrss cold air feed

homebrew doorcads (still not complete)

and couple of the polo

enjoys comments more then welcome :)
