Project Updats

Featured Replies

Hello, I'm back, sorry its long since I was last on here I don't have much time between work and my MSC, so here are some updates on the various projects. (Clicky Thumbnails as always)

The DD Golf V5 is now rolling on 19" Porka rims in a cusrom Pearl paint.

6N 1.8T enging is still sitting in the car, running but not plumbed in proply, not a lot happening on that front unfortunatly.

6N2 Colour Concept is comming along though, the engine is in, the gear change works the car is drivable but it still needs the power steering sorting and some finishing touches, I hope to put it back on the road at the beggining of march.

No prizes for identifying the engine.

But the big news comes from the paint shop where the 181 had an inch and a bit grafted into the rear arches and a splash of pearl blue paint:

And the G40 is cuently in having found the arches were little more than rust and the plastic trim (a warning for those of you with the plastic arch extentions). Still it came as an excuse to get all the littl bits of rust sorted and leaded.

Now me being me, if a job is worth doing it's worth over doing so it's getting a full respray inside and out, under sealing and a slight change in colour (brave on an origional car I know but nothing compared to what the KG and 181 got)

Its a problem when you run 8s all round but they pass the MOT and I've never been pulled but I do cancy a nice set of custom 13*7 or 7.5 when I can afford some.

Tim- G40 looks fucking awesome! Finishing touch some BBS RS? Just seems to cry out for BBS of some sort... good work!

Yoof just gave me the heads up on this, looks mega, deffo needs some prettier wheels though.

Looking good Tim - agree with Alex/Yoof on the wheels though, would really set it off a treat.

Yep still got him, needs a little work to bring him upto the standard of the others though.

Both my Mk4 and Mk5 have BBS so I'm thinking somthing a little different on the G.
