6n bump strips?

Featured Replies

hi :)

just got my dragon green 6n polo and want these bump strips off

thing is I've heard alot about lacquer peel and was wondering if anyone had any advice on getting them off??

didn't want to just go for it and mess it up

a mate of mine recommended the toffee wheel, but i dont know how it works and if it can also cause the lacquer peel

cheeers... sam

keep them unless you don't leave your car in a car park as they will prevent ignorant tossers from banging their doors against your bodywork.

There's a guide for doing that here

I was thinking about trying it, but since I leave my car in my work's car park every weekday I'm going to play it safe and leave them on

Very useful guide, i removed badges etc did mine with tissue and trim removal but cards r better! Hairdryer defo and i used a water based paint renwal, but bug and tar is good! Gna get myn off in the week :D

well i got round to it and my recommendation is DO NOT RUSH it :L

on the last bump strip with no paints matters, and then in a rush not being able to wait to see the car with these off i rushed and ripped my paint to bare metal :crybaby:

mates dad owns a body shop and hooked me up with a smart repair so its not too noticeable and I'm all happy :)
