if you want new units made from blanks they are anything from about £600 upwards, but for a re-grind on the original units it's roughly £300 for the pair

nice how do i go about geting them re grinded? what needs 2 be done?

Think Newman do regrinds iirc. Contact any of the big cam manuactures, they'll soon tell you

I know you buy cams and it adds bhp and I've seen people saying theyve got a 268/268 shcrick cam or whatever...i dont wanna know how the cam works with the lift and duration but how do they make a standard cam into a more performance based one

Material is ground off of the bottom circle of the cam lobe, the top of the lobe remains the same height but the lobe is machined flatter, lift is calculated with the difference between the diameter of the bottom circle and the top of the lobe.

Heres an example i drew up, its fairly exaggerated.

Some say that re-profiled cams can have detrimental effects to the cam followers as they would be operating beyond their manufactured specifications.
