Mk2 Breadvan (Fast Car Feature)

Featured Replies

Model: 1989 Polo C

Engine: 1043cc, Straight through exhaust

Suspension: MK1 golf coilovers on the back, 80mm Lowering Springs on front (lots of coils cut off)

Brakes: Standard

Wheels and Tyres: Superlites 13x6 on the front and 13x7 on the back 165/55/13 all round

Exterior Styling: Few stickers,

Interior Styling: Curtains in the back.

ICE and Security: Sony headunit, Fusion Sub.

Comments: Planning on buying some mk1 golf coilovers for the back, as i'm currently running the 80mm lowering springs on standard shocks. Also in a few weeks time i'm getting the centrebox cut out of the exhaust and a straight bit of pipe put in place, as it scrapes alot.

Plans are to maybe take the bumpers off and see how it looks. A few more coats of red oxide, get the front wheels painted white as well. Get rid of the arch gap on the front. Then maybe a side exit.

Looks awesome one those wheels :) Do they rub badly on the rear arches? Thinking of getting some 7s on my bready.

  • Author

right now they do, caus i haven't finished bashing the arches out. But its because the offset is -7 so they poke out alot.

heres a couple of close ups of the arches, flared with a lump hammer, i just need to repaint them.

Thanks, i've been thinking abut putting a littler bit of camber on the back wheels, so i can go a bit lower, but just wanted opinions on how qick ir'll go through tyres? some people have said its the toe that cause the tyres to go not the camber?

Quick phone pic of the polo now. i'll get some better pics when the rain stops.

Looks epic! Have you ever had any trouble with the police over the yellow headlights? Or are they perfectly legal?

i preferred it with bumpers on tbf, buts its your car man experiment all you like, :p

please put the bumpers back on.

Yellow lights are legal

Love it mate!

Ghetto arch rolling ftw!

I dont get the no bumpers ... but the rest of the car looks amazing - great job, and even better for keeping a photo diary :D

this would look awesome if it had a bumper.

To me, this is rat look done well, not that I'm assuming that was your goal. It's a progression, not a forced look. The Matt paint is cool as it looks like the original colour has faded. Yellow lights look cool (v.continental) and the cable ties holding on the splitter look ghetto. But it still looks good, and not a roof rack in sight!

Although I wouldnt do this to my car, I like it!

looked at your car and first thing i thought of was:

suits it so much haha.
