About half an hour ago I had just stopped at a shop, about to pull onto the road, nothing coming, totally clear, join the road then a few seconds later I`ve got a big van behind me flashing his lights. Can only assume he was moving pretty fast because he was nowhere to be seen, I braked to show him he can`t bully a small car and then as I was about to go left at a small roundabout he pulled alongside so I gave him the middle finger, he gave one back and blew his horn..

I drove off and then watched my rear view, here he comes blasting down the 30mph residential street after me. I just stay at the same speed, he`s in a works van so I doubt he`ll try and shunt me, he attempts to overtake (on a blind corner) and then 100 yds later I stop at some lights and he gets out, I had already locked the door. The second I pulled up I grabbed my extendable wheel brace..

He comes over to the car and starts mouthing off, remember all I did was join the road when nobody was behind me. He then realises I`ve got the wheel brace on my lap, I don`t give a fcuk he shouts, asks me to get out and trys the door. I`ll go back to the house you pulled away from, I don`t live there I say!

He walked off back to his van and did a three point turn. I made sure I got his company name. Thing is I had my works jacket on, that`s the only reason I don`t thing I`ll bother calling them. I was totally chilled the whole time, he started the whole thing, I did nothing wrong at all, apart from be in his way when he`s speeding thru residntial streets..

I thought it would be safer to stay in the car, I was`nt worked up enough to get out. He called me something along the lines of a little prick. I`m actually 6.4` but in a polo you can`t tell..

I`ve seen people having a ruck on the side of the road before and I`ve also seen people out of their car trying door handles. Fair play for not getting out. How dare you be in somebodies way when their speeding thru a residential area!

You don`t really want to get into a fight whilst holding a wheel brace, I have an 'item' in my car too but purely for self defence. Look after number one I say

we had some thing like that once on the way to the richo meet. Coming up the a444 and some dome in a pick up trys to do some dumb ass under taking move on one of my mates who just sticks to his line and the pikey has to back of as theres a car in front of him. For the rest of the 444 he's driving like a dick up our arses then finally goes past us, when we stop at the traffic lights to go in to the richo he's infront of us looking back and waving a hammer at me.

By this point i'm fucking fuming, pointing to him to turn left and shouting 'get in that fucking car park'. He got in first and must of doubled round because we had parked up and got out and were standing at the cars by the time he pulled up. He hangs out the window telling me he's gonna smash my skull in while waving what looked like a childs hammer around. I started laughing my idiot off and told him to put his toffee hammer away, he looked shocked, i pulled a wheel brace from the seat of my car and went for him, he sped off shouting about going to get his boys.

These people are mostly just bullys, stand your ground and they don't know what to do, they just try to intimidate people to make themselves feel big.

there are some absolute nutters out there. i had similar incident. i pulled out with a reasonable gap then some pickup came up behind. i was in my 1.1 mk1 golf when this happened so couldnt exactly speed off. the guy held on his horn right up my arse for ages so i gave the finger. didnt go down well, he ended up following me into a dark car park but nothing happened in the end after a load of shouting and swearing buy the guy, threatening to kick my head in etc luckily someone else came into the car park in a lorry and he had to move his car as he had blocked me in and was in the way of the lorry. i was just more worried about the mint body work of the car than having a fight :)

I won`t be bullied by anybody out on the road, I don`t care what their driving. Getting out of the car to confront somebody would be crossing a line and something that I`ve not done before. I know that if I lost my temper I would be out in a flash but it has`nt happened yet..

I must admit i have been found guilty of a little road rage a couple of yrs back when returning from friends a total p**t decided to try and entice me into a race by coming right up my backside leaving it late to brake then pulling back ,when we reached a junction i had to apply my brake and he slid into the back of me only taking the laquer off the rear bumpers and then he shot off round me .With that i decided to give him a taste of his own medicine and gave chase following him through all the back streets .......he must of s**t himself when he saw 3 guys in the car when he was on his own :/

this happend to me... but the difference was my clutch cable slipped and i couldnt get it in gear haha. The old bloke in the other car was being such a toss that he had to slow down though. so i called his light flashing with a pair of hazards

Some van drivers seem to get aggravated for no reason though. Once I was driving home in a 30mph zone, doing the speed limit, see this van pull out of a mini-roundabout and accelerate hard to be right behind me, lights full beam. Was coming up to a cambered roundabout, so took a nice clean (fast) line through it and carried on straight over. Van man in his haste to try and keep up, upon exiting the roundabout ended up completely on the wrong side of the road, luckily there was no oncoming traffic, he then sped up and tailgated me (30mph) till I turned off. I didn't rise to it but there was absolutely nothing I did to induce it.

had one incident that was kinda scary at the start but funny afterwards. Me and my family including grandparents where going caravanning and on one road (i forget what its called) we were stuck in alot of traffic where 2 lanes merge into one so the common thing to do is 1in 1out. However my dad who was leading went and then my grandad went to let 1 in but a mini squeezed in aswell, ok no real problem nobody really wants to be stuck behind a huge caravan towed by big 4x4 driven by a 68 year old man. Then a prick in a mk4 golf tries to bully my grandad off the road so he can get infront so grandad ends up mounting the curb a bit and the back down, well the golf ended up on the wrong side of the road with a traffic island infront of him so he floors it in front of me and down a side road where he starts yelling and throwing things at my grandad (hes not a violent man but will shout back if required. big argument starts and he is standing infront of my grandads car now. So i was 2 cars behind grandad at this point i get my brother to get his cricket bat out of the back and step out of my car quickly and tell the guy to f off and let the traffic flow and sort it out at the next services he agrees (service less than mile down the road) he rejoins infront of my dad (due to side road exit). as we are driving off 'to' the services i get my brother to call my grandad to say just carry on and dont pull into the services. So he does just carry on but the guy pulls in and me and my brother kindly say good bye with a well known sign for a serial masturbator.

Just made me laugh so hard as we drove of and the sign was very appropriate. Moral is try to sort it out nicely but if all else fails make the serial masturbator look like a tool

People with road rage piss me off! i live just after a blind crest on a country(ish) road so getting out of my drive is sometimes a mare as people come speeding over. i pulled out one morning and some guy came flying over nearly hitting me, he was doing about 70 in a 30. he overtook me, slammed his brakes on in front of me and got out. i locked the door and let me window down, he came straight over and grabbed me round the throat. i wound my window up, trapped his arms and phoned the police. divine justice, i think so :) police found it funny as hell

lol i gotta admit guys u all have alot more self control than me, anytime i've ever been a position were i see someone getting out of their car to approach mine in anger i make sure i meet them half way, i'm not aggressive and if i'm at fault i will apologise at the time but if they want to go down that road with it then i'l just claim self defence when its all over and done with. I HATE BULLIES. but have alot of respect for anyone that can control their temper like that when provoked by twats.

I hate Road Rage, but that make me a hypocrite. Since I'm terrible for it my self.

I hate my current horn, I can never find the bit you need to push.
