my dad hates the suspension because its really stiff, he feels abit cramped in my car as he owns a jaguar him self which are much bigger, he also things when I'm modding it I'm wasting my money lol

Is this your way of saying, "I still live with the 'rents and can't get a missus but I wanna join in?" ;)

My dad thinks it's an awesome first car, but if I lower it, it will become a "chavmobile" instantly :L

no i have a missus but i live with the 'rents lol but i mean seriously, thought it wld be a good thread as the missus one came up well, my rents moan about my car when i say i want to lower it

'why?'

'what's it going to achieve?'

My dad moans a shit load more than my mrs, About everything especially on how stiff the suspension is, even down to the cd player and tells me i should leave it alone, and I'm wrecking it a car wasn`t designed to . . . . . . bla bla bla, yeah fuck off dad

My mums not arsed as long as i dont get oil on the drive.

My mom is always moaning about the amount of money i spend on it

Shes always moaning about me working on it at silly hours

Moaning about the random car parts dotted around the house

The amount of oil and dirt on my clothes after working on the car

I could go on lol

She pretends to think the car is cool, doesn't really have an opinion on it though.

Although she does like the orange bits 8-)

still got half a mini at my mums somewhere?

been there 10 years lol

My mom likes it, but still stands by that I need to raise the suspension haha.

And it's a ball ache trying to get my step dad to help me work on the car cause he dislikes working on modified cars lol.

Mine hate it

"Too loud"

"Too fast"

"Is that legal?"

Etc

what are these "moms" that people are going on about?

sound like it's liek the word "mums", perhaps it's a foreign word? :?

My mum disses it ina jokey way

my dad knows about cars, where i learnt it all, he was in the car when the sump/subframe hit the floor the other day, he was NOT Happy and the same with the stretch fits soon to be fitted as he works for avon tyres!

My mum doesn't really care, she just thinks the neighbours might get annoyed if the cars are too loud.

My dad has 2 lowered T4's one of which has been custom made into a pickup and a CLK320 so hes not fussed if I lower it or want a faster car etc. Helps me out when I want bodywork bits doing as well.

Moaning about the random car parts dotted around the house

Haha me and brother get this all the time!

My dads favourite: "Stop nicking my spot on the drive"

and don't get me started on the neighbours!!!!!

my dad hates my car

says the conversions never guna work its a waste of time

the suspensions pointless

i play around with it to much etc etc etc

negative dad i say

Dad thinks it's a really nice, clean car and I shouldn't do anything to it.

Especially lowering.

For some reason he is of the belief that even a 20mm lowering of the suspension would cause me to be unable to drive anywhere and become an instant 'boy racer' who will attract police attention and drive like a idiot.

Unfortunately for me I can't afford to live elsewhere or insure myself without him on the policy.

my mums chilled out about it she moans i should get somthing newer. my step dad is always waiting for something to go wrong. so i can ask him for help hes a mechanic :)

whats it going to achieve? My rents said this to me and the answer was stance.

I remember taking my GT home one night (after karl had fixed some dents and orange primered half of the car) and in the morning i heard

my mum scream 'WHAT THE BLOOOODY HELL IS THAT ON MY DRIVEWAY.....MOVE IT. NOWW!!!!' So I went straight to my dads house and

got him to spray over it in black.

I look back now and think, yeah, it was a complete shit tip and it did bring the tone of the street down hahahaha

my dad says why cant i wait and get a years no claims before i mod it

also that its a waste of money as ill want a faster car in a year and that ill probably smash it up in my first year,

Pfft, engine conversion and i wont smash it up ...

Mother refuses to get in it, says it's dangerous.

Dad loves it, tells all his mates about it, loves driving it, says it's dangerous.

"fuck me its fast"

Dad appreciates what I'm trying to do to mine and says he admires me for doing it

Mum thinks I'm imporving the car and likes it a lot

The other week was pretty funny i was helping them shop for a new tv and we saw a red lupo in the car park

Mum: Chris that looks like your car

Dad: Thats not his its waaaay too high

:D

my mam says

'move that giant green shit heap, the bin wagon cant get past'

'if you dont pass soon its getting weighed in'

'its a really nice colour'

Bipolar mam ftw!

my parents loved my car but never got in it unless they had to, but spent more time in it before it ever got lowered and never went in it after it was, not even to feel what coilovers were like.

They loved the work i put in and the look of it and the fact i had something to show for my money when i had it.

Once the polo was gone and i got the mk2 they loved it also. and actually got in this car even though it also got lowered, dont know why they never really went in the polo though.

My dad loves my wee Polo and always wants lifts ect just to be seen in it cause he's cool like that haha :D

The mother and sister on the otherhand hate it with a passion..
