i know its is entirely possible but is its realistic to run some wellers that are 13x7 on the front and 13x8 on the back on a polo coupe without arch mods or gt/coupe s arch trims?

if i remember righly the 7's seem to stick out on the front a bit much but look fine on the back, if its a set ET id go for 7's on the back and 6's on the front as the ET always seems low, however with the correct offset it'll work just fine :)

this is for a friend by the way but they only do 13x7, 13x8 and 13x10 new these days and they are hard to get hold of second hand

depends on many factors does it not? e.g. et, tyre sizes, car etc... not just the width

O o.k. i was just wondering if anyone has fitted these size wellers before on a coupe, i knew it would be pushing the limits of what you can run with standard arches and that sort of width but i'm sure someone must have had a go on putting them on a coupe before?

The only reason 7's and 8's were chosen is that they are staggered, which is what you need really on a coupe. Ideally 6's and 7's would be perfect but you can't get 6's new.

^^^yep, the higher the et the further in the arch the wheel will sit, there's only so far before you run out of room and get rubbing issues on the inside of your wheel.

yeah i've heard about this problem on wellers, alot of people have to use 5 or 10mm spacers so that they don't catch the brakes or something, it looks like 8's are out of the question really but they don't make the 6's anymore and 7's all round wouldn't look too good and there would be issues on the front with 7's :S

You could get 7s and 8s to fit but you'll need to modify the arches.
