I've been made redundant this week and whilst looking for a new job I'm thinking of re training in a new career

I'm realy interested in vehicle spraying/ finishing/repair but i could do with some advise on where I can find courses in this and what options I've got with apprenticeships, night courses etc as I'm nealy 22 so going back onto apprentice wages will be a shitter

I'm located in the west midlands but willing to travel

as with any profession, you need either (or both) qualifications and experience.

check with local colleges for courses, and local body shops if you do some work for them (either paid or not).

I did an evening course for a few years running, its where i did my car.

They do full time courses and they do apprenticeships

Ok thanks very much for the help, i'll get onto the college and see what's available in the way of night courses etc and how much they're gonna cost me

They do evening courses but you don't get any sort of qualification as such, just a certificate saying you attended the course.

In a way, thats useless if your trying to do it as a profession, you will need to do the apprentice one.
