Engine almost out now, struggling with the driveshafts though. couldnt get em out and when we checked the time it was 10pm so gave up. ill be back on it tomorrow

couldnt undo them at the inner cv as the bolt holes are clogged with shit, so undid the main driveshaft bolt and tried to smack them through the hub with a hammer with no luck. we were too tired to carry on though haha

If your doing it that way, leaving the driveshafts on the engine, then you will proably need to undo the TCA at the chassis end so the supension leg can swing outwards giving you more room to get the shaft out.

Easiest way is to get a m8 spline bit and undo all the bolts lol

i cut the springs on my 6n last summer and just recently put slightly wider wheels on it 155/75/r13 to 185/55/r14s and I'm getting a loud bang when acc and dec and steering but no affect on the handling.any ideas what it could be people?

Just undo the anti roll bar from the hub then you'll be able to get the driveshaft out no probs!

Yes, indeed the engine is out, i turned up at the unit last night to see robbo lowering his 6n instead of working on the coupe cause he was fed up of it, within an hour i had it out (cause I'm good like that to him, even though he's taking an eternity to make me a manifold) and he was a happy man again, i wasnt however as he had no soap and i was covered in cv grease, and had to wash using autoglym shampoo, which for the record actually works pretty well.
