Featured Replies

Are there any problems with having 165/50/15 on 15x7 rims like...

- Tyres popping off rim (heard this the other day, didnt know if its true/possible)

- MOT (will it pass)

- Handling (do I have to be careful around corners etc)

- Etc (any other problems)

Thanks,

Pete.

- Too an extent

- No.

- Tyres popping off rim (Only gonna pop off if you have zero pressure.....keep them pumped up as you would)

- MOT (They dont like them but its a "GREY" area best to chuck some standards wheels on for it, all depends where you have your MOT ;] )

- Handling (dont go mad.)

Personally i only stretch tyres if i have to, like I'm running 8J out back with no arch work, so i run stretch but i run straight walls on the front coz i dont need the stretch....my 2 cents....

Alright Pete,

Well you know I love my stretch and drive like I stole it alot of the time.

-never had any issues with tyres popping off the rims.

-passed mot fine, they didn't even give an advisory for the stretch.

-handling wise might get a little understeer if your really pushin it, but stick with potenzas and you'll be fine (ran the fronts to death and still gripped well)
