So my polo is gone, but not forgotten, and i thought i'd just pop a few pics of my replacement on here

I was looking for an economical but quick comfy cruiser, so i plumped for this:

A 2001 GT TDI 6spd in Ink Blue

The only mod so far has been this:

The T is covered in a highly reflective black tape which shines silver under bright light

But i have also got a pair of these sidelights, waiting til i get the rest of my bulbs to fit them so the bumper only has to come off once

On order atm i have :

Aero Wipers

Pressed UK plates

Plate surrounds

Second (bumper mounted) pair of fogs - thats right, we're going for quad fogs here!

6000k HID kit

100w Fog bulbs

100w Main beam bulbs

SMD LED Fog bulbs

And thats about it i think

The old woofer etc from my polo will be going in, and i think some window tints and a remap may be on the cards, as well as a nice set of 17s....

Definitely, its an astonishing engine, so refined but put your foot down in any gear and it just goes and goes and goes, with a map it would be a serious diesel weapon

I was also looking at doing an EGR delete and a De-cat on it

Not yet, can barely afford the insurance on this as it is , maybe in the summer when i earn some more moneyz. I'm just gonna enjoy the comfort for the time being!

Pressed plates have arrived, just gonna wait for the surrounds before fitting :)

I'm gonna concentrate on upgrading the creature comforts/cheap simple mods first i think

Cheers mate, what engine have you got in your bora? I Almost got a bora S with the AGR (90) in it but I'm so glad i have the extra torques now! Soooooooo addictive, just put your foot down anywhere and whoooooooooooooooosch!

Maybe, whats your estimated power:weight? I'm aiming for 400Nm of torque....so be afraid :p

Where'd you get the bumper mounted front fogs? NEED a set of these for mine... How difficult is the wiring for them? I assume they work off the same switch.

Also... 64MPG! I'm lucky to get 28 now :( haha

Ebay mate :) i haven't set about them yet, i plan to (try) tomorrow, i'm gonna use them on the current fog switch and wire some leds in the exisitng ones and piggy back them onto the sidelights

Sounds good, let me know how you get on, will be ordering a set of those as well as an anniversary front splitter soon :)

The golf has returned from having its turbo replaced - It is slower now I'm not driving everywhere on maximum boost :( but at least it wont leave me on the hard shoulder any more! :)

When I offered up the the bumper fog grill , the poor quality became clear!

Also, i swapped some .:R Line centres from a set of old polo wheels in place of the manky VW ones
