To be fair, I think the insurance made the right choice there. A-pillar damage is a very significant job to repair, and done wrong, would not be good. If you bear in mind what a mk4 polo is worth, there's a good assumption that it wouldn't be worth paying out for a proper repair.

I'm guessing they've written it off as cat B, which means it can only be treated as salvage, ie can be stripped for parts, but not repaired. To stop dodgy chop shops stiching it up and selling it to someone unsuspectting, cat B can only be bought by professional breakers.

i took the wheels & coilovers off but couldnt take the bumpers off as i didnt have the originals :(
