well yep, last tuesday i had an accident, I'm very lucky to be alive and even luckier, the car i was driving was a citroen saxo vts and not my pride and joy =D

the down side is that unfortunately after reading my insurance policy it seems I'm not covered to drive the other car as it was on a traders policy, so I will be getting prosecuted for driving without insurance, and there is also an investigation into the accident, though i was doing 50, they are claiming i was speeding =(

I'm just happy to be alive and if worse comes to worse and i do lose my license then sadly the car will be getting sold, though if i dont below is the list still to do

Retrim front seats

trim doorcards with leather centres

trim roof and pillars in alcantra

fit anodized red bolts to holes in wheels

4 branch manifold and decat pipe

fit mk2 wiring loom & have carbs balanced

fit AVY bottom end

as you can see, its a very short list and will be a shame not to complete the car =(

the last car i had that was near complete, i wrote off and broke for parts =(

5 door versions of many cars are so underrated really and i dont think if you the same things that you have done too a door that it would anywhere near as tastey

I had no intention of selling whatsoever, up until 2 weeks ago i even had the money to get it finished but sadly i cannot justify spending nearly 500 a month on a car to run and i dont have a garage to store it in.

have put it up as a whole but am getting more interest in it as parts,

already got a buyer lined up for the wheels and some other parts

I've put a feeler thread up for the engine and the brake & suspension setups so well see what interest there is

Ok so temporarily I've decided to keep this and see the outcome of my investigation,

however the carbs are going up for sale in the next couple of weeks and ill be refitting injection and a 4 branch along with having the rear bumper resprayed and the bonnet and fitting the fake split bolts, pretty much completing the project =D

Ok so quite alot has happened in a space of two months.

I pleaded guilty to due care and attention and driving without insurance, as it was in my best interest to not go to trial..I received 6 points and a £308 fine which was the best possible outcome so I've been over the moon and actually been enjoying my car again =D

the car has gone through the MOT with advisories on the tyres which are being replaced

the leather seats have been repaired and all the panels are now intact

the engine now has a 4 branch and a bmc rather than the bike carbs and fuel consumption is so much better =D

the biggest update is the fact that this is now a 1.6 16v hybrid engine. I've used the AFH head and the ARC bottom end and after some dubious timing up of the engine, I am truly in love with this car =D it pulls so much better and is perfect for me

I've got a few pics of while i was doing the conversion and i will be at the poloshow with this also

plans are now in the pipe line to finish the interior off and the bodywork =D

alright there mate, car looks lush love the streched tyres and polished wheels not to mension the engine, cant wait to have mine built up i'm thinking of running my hybrid on bike carbs but after reading your info on it I'm swaying towards using the gti injection system instead, when using the injection system did you stick with the mk2 ignition system? and also what would you say about the performance of the engine when using carbs or injection do you think that using the injection system gives better performance?

seen this today at clubpolo , checked out the engine and a chat with sean . the car is mint and the engine is a work of art . top bloke really know his stuff and i got a few ideas from him for my own car to , sounds like you have some serious plans to bud cant wait to see that engineing bay smoothed ? . Ok so the hybrid went bang and cause an engine rebuild, the best mate who caused it got whacked and since then I've decided to move on so this car is nearly no more and is being broken for parts....I'm gonna add some more photos today just to show how it ended

ahhh see its not a stock mk3 golf one though is it =D lol its an arm rest for one and has a flip up cubby hole with a boot popper button hidden beneath. Also instead of just an ashtray at the rear like the highline one I had before, it has a cup holder =D

the doorcards were retrimmed mate, i actually bought them like that but was the same style i wanted lol =D what door is your polo???

hahaha the centre console plus the highline one will be appearing in the near future in two of my favourite 6ns so keep your eyes posted

the gti bottom end was a great improvement but the guy who fitted mine made a hash of it and fucked my engine so i had to rebuild the valver....was alot quicker off the mark but not as quick as having carbs...but then mine wasnt running right...you want an AVY bottom end and itll go together much better

if the bottom end is more power but also gains a good mpg id rather do that plus its not noticeable to the old bill unless they really know what t look for..

mines a 3 door so carnt have your door cards :(

i just need to knuckle down and actually finish mine off lol and stop spending my money on crap instead of the car.
