just want to know peoples opinions to scirocco's iv got the chance of a mk1 d reg gt needs new wing and door, its got 6 month mot no tax and i can get it for 400 quid worth it or not?

its a mk2, its too new to be a mk1 and they didn't do a mk1 gt.

Price sounds about right with that t&t and the damage, don't expect a lot tho as the gt is the bottom spec mk2, weezy 1.6 carb engine, non vented brakes, no rear anti roll bar and posibley the most uncomfortable front seats fitted to a vw (think standard mk3 polo seats but lower).

Also there will be rust, it will probably be hiding behind the body kit, but it will be there some where. Check that all the arches are still where they should be!

Always try get stuff cheaper than it is ! It's a reet old car it's not worth much especially being a low spec model knock him down might be able to 300 quid or lower

Always try get stuff cheaper than it is ! It's a reet old car it's not worth much especially being a low spec model knock him down might be able to 300 quid or lower

I'm viewing at weekend so il see what happens, dont fancy payin 400 for it what is the higher spec is that the gt2?

just looked at the link, looks like some ones fitted gt2 seats in it (much better than gt seat) and its got scala alloys and a mk1 golf gti steering wheel

the gt2 is still the bottom spec but its much better than the gt, vw just upped thier game when they replaced the gt with the gt2.

Higher spec is any thing that isn't a gt
