Well its Monday and he didn't call me like he was supposed to

Sent him a message, just because its fun messing him around ;)

You didn't call.. I really want to view this car before I make any bids on it.

I am willing to bid/pay up to £650 for this but I NEED to view it first..

I can't risk buying a car I have never saw in person before... Would You??

Send me your address and a suitable time and I'll come view it this week. If it is like what you say it is, I'm guaranteed to buy it from you.

-David

Anyone got the link? Dont worry I aint gonna bid just wonna have alook. CANT SEEM TO FIND IT ON EBAY

Might as well telephone his local authorities. They have already been contacted about the car and I'm sure an address will be more than welcome.

my reply off him

Dear chrisbfg84,

Okay, you can come look at the car, all of the people who have come to look at it so far have asked to buy it now, I've been offered £800 so far. Many thanks.

He has completely reworded the advert.

If anyone can find a way to extract an image from eBay there is a small chance that if the image was taken on a smart phone I may be able to extract location data.

he is just a first class numpty but then again someone somewhere will probably end up buying it as the world is full of numpties

If anyone can find a way to extract an image from eBay there is a small chance that if the image was taken on a smart phone I may be able to extract location data.

Only if the EXIF data was stored in the image file, by default they mostly aren't.. sometimes you'll get the device it was taken with, e.g Sony Ericsson C905 etc

I'll get the images for you, if you want to try :)

EDIT: There is no EXIF data in the JPG images, I think because they are processed by ebay which if they did contain data would be removed..

"Comment : Processed By eBay with ImageMagick, R1.0.1.M1"

That's the only data stored inside one of the image files..

Here's the eBay URL's for all images:

It was worth a try I guess. Someone did post a name and address that matched this sellers name and the area the car was in. It may be worth telling that to the authorities.

wahay go on inspector gadget up ther  this is great its like cluedo

 Its good fun ;)

Anyone notice the last image the colour is white with the front corner grey and looks like it has a drivers window.. but the car is Silver :D

the vehicle is not at his address its in the garage where it has been stored by the registered keeper for 10years the police and the council have already found the garage and the car it appears that the garage has been forced open however the garage has now been re secured by the council and the police are watching it so if he returns or if he breaks in again he will be nicked and so to possibly anyone else whos with him as for the offers well its gone up in price everyday complete dickhead if you ask me the crazy thing is the only people showing interest are on here so no one has looked at it anyway ......I SMELL BULLSHIT ALL THE WAY HAHAHA

I think he is just selling what he found in the garage.

i no thers some pretty random shit there !

ye that mangle looks a winner

reply:

ok daivd well have had a offer of £800 so far so for you to come and have a look, you might need to up on price as people are thinkin off £800+

I sent:

I have about 1375 here for getting a car, so as long as the bodywork, engine, interior etc.. are in all great condition then I can push my limit to 1100, because it will cost quite a bit to get it re-registered and get all paperwork etc..

I'm off work all this week, so if you are available for me to view, I'll be happy to come have a look at a time that suits you..

Thanks, David

Hopefully I can set up a time for me to view it then, some one in that area can inform the police or something that he *just maybe* turn up at the garage/house waiting for me

Then the police can get him there :)
