Hey just wondering what other peoples experiences are of having 165/50/15 tyres on a 7j rim?

Basically i dont want to have these fitted and then the first pot hole i hit the tyre comes off the rim :/

What do you all think? Its my daily driver so I'm debating playing it safe and having 175/50/15 but i like the look of 165's

165 50's will be fine on a 7J man, depends which tyre your after though, the potenza's stretch better but this is a federal:

Hardly any stretch at all, (but they werent brand new)
