For all you dubstep fans

Featured Replies

Ok, so I was chilling out with some Mt eden last night, had sierra leone on - if you aint heard it, listen to it. the drops are someting else. this tune is what started my adventure into the land of Dutty bass lines

Anyway, I digress.

I was talking to a mate of mine who was all hating the Mt Eden and he statred on the offensive of these are to overrated and there not really dubstep blah blah blah.

What do you all think?

I like them, sioman says is pretty good

they're not bad! i'd class it as entry level dubstep, for all music fans. :-)

you want to check out loefah, mala, darkstar.

all good shit to chill to. definitely need a sub to enjoy it though

I love em  The 1st dubstep artist I listened to and got me hooked :)

Mt eden are amazing! Simple, but not too over the top...unlike stenchman. Thats just messed up.

Just been listening to like everything they've done and I'm a fan, but it is a bit simplistic. For people that haven't already check out:

Flux Pavillion

Nero

Skream

Example Dubstep remixes

Lastfm :D

Welcome to jurrasic park - bonkrooger :p boom!

I find mt Eden boring.. That's me though.

Also the bassiest song I have is fantasy - the xx

it gave my mate cramp in his leg :D

Why is this reading like 'i really like XYZ, youve probably not heard of em'.

But mount eden, I'm not really a fan. same goes for excision and rusko and that, just seem to be banging out remix after remix. Brostep ennit, cant be doing with pure filth for hours at a time, needs to be some ambient stuff.

Troglodytes - Rout Reynolds = sick

I don't dislike them, it's just that 'style' of dubstep where the songs get boring quickly..

If you're into your atmospheric well-produced stuff, check out Burial's album 'Untrue', I still maintain that Archangel is one of the best tracks I've ever heard, proper listen-in-the-dark-on-a-comedown style lol..

at the end of the day it boils down to personal taste,mt eden are good though FACT!!!

I like some of Mt Eden's tracks..

pretty good kiwi dubstep.

also liking Flinch at the moment:

but nothing will stop me preaching about skream's earlier days for 'proper' dubstep:

^ this is the real shit :) that whole album is killer.

skreams earlyier days were brilliant, now he is commercial but then this wood raise the arguement is dubstep becoming a commercial genre?

its always being bigged up on radio by DJ's wh think they are bringing something new to the music world even though it has been around for a while now

Fuck all this new commercial shit of DubStup where its just noise nothing else, needs to go back to some of the old stuff.

Yes!

Midnight Request Line is one of my faves:

Digital Mystikz - Haunted:

Not a well-known track, but mint nonetheless, Sukh Knight - Diesel Not Petrol:

And 2 rather filthy wobblers for the subs, Pinch - Punisher:

and Caspa - Rubber Chicken:
