knocking after fitting lowering springs and shocks

hi, i put my front lowering shocks and springs on my polo mk3 and now is knocking..i think it could be lack of oil in the leg but i have heard about putting a 2p down the leg to take up the play in the shock..right or wrong??? :-D

its the cheap ebay suspension iv got.

Yarp, 2p apparently sorts it. If you look, the lowered shock is slightly shorter than the standard, so it tends to move about. I also think the thread on the top appears to be too short, so the top cup and mount arent tight enough around the turret. Mine had so much play, the top mount bearing actually wore through the threaded bush and shocker shaft!!!!

wow..so what did u do to stop it from going through top mounts??
