Basically, I have a doubledin and I have two options, cut about my current centerconsole about or replace it with a 6n2 center, the 6n2 would be preferable IF they fit?

Apparently, it goes straight in if we're talking about the screws location etc. But obviously you will have to cut it so it fits under the 6N dash. You'll have to cut it just above the button section, and the good trick to get rid of the buttons is to put a little Lupo shelf.

Sorry dude i probably wasnt clear, i meant the centerpiece thats removable from the dashboard itself, i was led to believe that the 6n2 ones already have space for a Doubledin headunit?

It wouldn't fit as its' design is completely different to the 6N ones. The 6N2 do have space for doubledin but it doesn't really matter because I think you can only cut your current 6N one.

Only way to do it would be to remove your 6N centre console, cut and chop the frame from a 6N2 and fibreglass/fill and spray it into the space where the 6n air vents are, you lose the vents but gain room for the double din. You'll also have to blank off the heater piping to the centre vents.

I did something similar to mine years ago, but I had two seperate din spaces, whereas you'll need one large double din space.
