Hi, wondering if anyone can help me, I'm looking to put 13" wellers on my polo 6n.

Its dropped 100mm and I've heard that wishbones will hit the floor on every bump.

Just wondered if anyone knew that this is true?

Well it depends if you are actually down 100mm (not just got 100mm coilies all the way down), the tyres your using and how bad the roads are around your area

well yeah i am because the coilys can go all the way down to 120mm... the roads are pretty bad too,

you know of any cure for this?

Yeah the coilies wont actually lower your car 120mm

The only cure is to just go slow and watch for bumps tbh

I'm wound down 100mm on 13x7 starmags and i live in Bradford (horrendous roads), and its actually fine :) yeh its low but just be careful and you're fine, it looks sick on 13s too......

all these starmags coming out of the woodwork :(

but your car won't go down 120mm on them unless you notch the chassis, also have you removed the helper springs?

i'd say they already are pretty common on 6n's, i've seen a few with them on, there was a red one on them camping next to us at action last year

165/50/13s on the rear, and 175.45.13 on the front iirc :)

yes i have seen the pictures. i read about the chassis notch being needed on the 6n posted by a lad that was 120mm down but can't for the life of me remember his user name (so if that's wrong i apologise).

helper springs measure 35mm when fully compressed (which they are all the time that there is weight on the wheels), so unless you have removed the helpers you are no where near 120mm down. ok i fucked up with the maths and said yours could only be lowered 75mm when infact its more like 85mm, my bad.

this is on my old mk2 golf but it should go some way to showing you how much difference the helpers make...

this is nothing personal but you would not believe how many people post up on here claiming to be 120mm down when they haven't even removed the helpers.

so remember kids, if the helpers are in the only person that you are fooling that it's lowered by 120mm is yourself
