Jamie's Corrado Thread

Featured Replies

Heylo!

After being into Vw's for a number of years now, I decided to buy what I thought was the "ultimate" VW in my eyes!

So I decided to Corrado hunting, found this beut near Reading, It's from supercoupe's which is a performance car garage owned and run by Storm Developments :)

Spec Is:

2.0 8v Good for daily use!

Custom Exhaust

Koni shocks and Eibach Springs, absolutly brilliant ride!

Pictures are much better than words so here goes!

Love the colour! Nice new motor mate ;)

Looking at that makes me want one, really badly. Nice car fella!

Looks nice that, any plans for it?

Is that an 8v badge on the front? I need to get one of those to go with my planned 1.0 badge to go on my GTi haha.

Thanks guys! I'm loving it at the moment so much more fun to drive compared to the polo!

No it's a 16v badge, going to be taking it off soon as no one likes fakers unless their ironic! ;)

And I blew up two speakers on the way home tonight :(

Thought I'd better update this!

Below is a photo took not long after I bought it at Elite1K in Basingstoke. Lookin' good and shiny!

Then I decided that as I plan investing a lot of money in this on returning it to it's best I decided to do engine conversion!

So rather than rip apart a poor defenceless corrado for it's 2.0 16v engine I decided to do the world a favour and buy a golf mk3 just for it's ABF!

Short timeline

Day I bought it:

Now I've got two "waste of spaces" according to mum :D

The two together:

Plans now! Red one is going to be an all out track slag, not really caring about aesthetics but just making the thing as fast as humanly possible! Definitely going to have a drivetrain swap at some point though!

Green One is going to be the weekend warrior, loads of OEM goodies already bought including roofbars, I want to buy some Image wheels, have a retrim, respray ETC to make it the nicest driving experience as possible. Defanatly not going to be SHOW ONLY though!

Lastly here is the green one all shined up for Beach Buggin in Pompey....

...Before breaking down!

Didn't take any pics before D'oh!

Unfortunately the plans will have to wait a good few years as I have just started Uni in September, and I will be taking kermit as my one car (no room to have 3! :( ) So progress on the both of these will be extremely slow!
