spec bolt? what do you mean? i just used a load of washers and large nuts till i go the spacing bang on, then did it up FT

I've got my spacing right. the bolt i have lost is the one that goes to the block at the bottom. sorry i didnt make that clear. just wondered if you new what the spec of that bolt was. thanks. jay.

cider helps!

Amazing man.

Where do you get your stella cider from? I've yet to try it!

haha, love the cuttout for the carbs.

What if it rains kid?

at the momment it has a baking tray with a rock on top to stop it blowinng away lol. but will be fitting a chav scooby vent or something to cover it up a bit.

oh and stella cider is sold in asda, on special at the mo, 4 x 330 ml cans for £3 or 6 pint bottles for £6. its tasty but after 6 pints its a little too much really, had to switch to desperados

Great idea, the scoop would then actually be doing what its supposed to and situated there for a reason....i like it! 8-)

This car is just so good. The colour really works for its purpose too. Major fan. Just make sure the bonnet vent isnt mahoosive as that would look gash potato.

Can't wait to see the finished article.

Yeah i agree, i would make the scoop very sleight, maybe only an inch tall?

Also you need to stop some being able to pull the fuel supply pipes off, or generally being able to get to the carbs.

Interested as to where your taking your vacuum from for the dizzy?

Also any more info on how the nitrous setup will work as I've been trying to get my head around it for weeks!

Use black mesh, will be hidden by the scoop and stops fingers getting in.

Looks lovely!

top work tommi as useall

scoop seems a good idea ,i did wonder what you do with the hole

I'm guessing the bonnet wunt close proply

well i have driven the car........ and lets just say its epicly fast!!!!! with the 4 speed gear box the acceleration is just plain nuts.

the carbs at the moment are only either working when on or off so I'm going to have to build some sort of airbox, will need it to run the nitrous as well unless i build a direct 4 port injection system for the nitrous which isnt too tricky with some copper pipe and some needle drills.

at the mo nitrous is just plain pointless as its currently torque steering in third gear. will try and get a video on here

My flat mate has dug me out his innovate lambda kit and omex rev limiter so I'm gonna work about fitting them tomorrow on my day off and should be able to get the car runnning a little better.

oh and definatly need some sort of 2nd silencer on the exhaust, its louder then ........ well its just too loud......... theres something i thought i would never say

also i got one of the doors painted tonight so only one more to do till the outside is kinda done.

barrels for the mag rims should be finished tomorrow so i can get them painted and once tyres arrive i can build them up and fit them.

fair play sounds epic

have an air leak on carb manifold somewhere........ gonna get out the chemical metal and some spare samco... shouldnt be to hard to find.

have fitted some gauzes (cut up old red tshirt) and it seems to be runnning a lot better now and revving a lot nicer but the air leak is causing the carbs to hold the revs after letting go of the throttle :(

fitted an omex rev limiter now just incase i get a bit crazy and the Innovate lamda is in exhaust just haven't got round to wiring it all in yet

absoluteness awesome! :)

If the mags poke too much, are you going to use berg arches?

Quality work mate!

  • Author
