only 1 more event and then its time to start the 1.8 T project I'm thinking!

How are you looking to fit the 1.8t mate?

Everything but the grill looks boss. High five.

yes looking to fit the 1.8t. and before you say it yes i know it wont fit. and yes i will still get it in there and running. just gotta buy a welder and widen that front track some more :)

The grill is kinding of winding me up a bit at the momment but once the 1.8 t goes in i will be more than likely fiblreglassing the entire front end on some sort of flip front arangement.

doing a big house move fairly soon so will have to hold of on the project for a while

good luck with the conversion, its a very angry looking mk1/.

what I meant mate was are you going to get one of them salzmann subframes or something different?

for more info on both cars look at the PPC 999 forum. we raced them both yesterday at santapod, my little polo came 2nd on the handling course out of 42 cars :). not so good on the drag strip with a 15.63 1/4 mile crossing the line @ 85.6 mph. in 4th gear @ 6000rpm lol there was no more left

Little car now has to drive back to somerset from herts. then its engine out time.

I'm going to basically purchase a mk4 golf complete (or atleast the front, then i will simply keep offering it up on the subframe and keep cutting away till it fits in there. once in place i will use mk1 golf coilovers and hubs i think with whatever driveshafts i need. once all in place will tube space frame the front subframe into the car. turbo manifold i think will have to be custom made and prob hang the turbo out of the bonnet, will upgrade at that point to a t3/4 for ease of turbo sourcing. intercooler will go on the front but rad may have to have a new home in the back of the car with some air feed from infront of the rear arches or something.

It will be easyer to explain what I'm doing once i have started sourcin the parts and seeing what goes where. think I'm going to have to upgrade to 15" wheels though maybe and sell the mamba's.....

so if anyone is looking to build a ultra fast mk1 2 or 3 polo then the engine will be for sale including everything in about 1 months time

will include

bike carbs

pump

inlet manifold

afh engine

tubular exhaust manifold

full exhaust systerm including side exit

gearbox

drive shafts

gear selector

haven't sourced a 1.8T yet but once i do i will price these bits accordingly to make sure i have a small change over cost.

engine does not come with a warrenty, it is on all acounts a race engine and if you want to come and have a small test drive then please let me know ( test drive as in i will be driving and you will be sat across the nitrous tank in the passenger seat area)

I will possibly be interested in the exhaust manifold if i have the finance, let me know

manifold is modified to use on the standard ARB and could do with some love to make all right, if i split the whole package will give you first refusal

cheers fella

i think the huy i sold it to is planning on touring the show seen in it in 2012 so I'm sure he will turn up

i was bidding on the polo when it was on ebay but got out bid at the last sec, always happens lol.

is that a 2002 your doing now?

Looks like the gearbox really let it down on the strip? fair play with the handling tho!
