my question may seem stupid but can you get 3 points for not having a reverse light?

Personally I would say no since they are not required/tested on an MOT as far as I know. I may be wrong so best to wait and see what others say :)

i used to have blue reversing lights came on the car an had bin pulled over several times never had them checked an it passed MOT with them so my guesses are no

my mates 1982 mini doesn't have a reverse light.....

mines red and had no issues :)

No law about having a working reversing light, though IIRC if you have one it has to be white, as I got told off for having a pink one on my old car (lights tinted red).

reverse lights are not a legal requirement, all there for is to illuminate the rear of the car when your reversing at night nothing else.

if the police pull you and find something wrong with your car,like a bulb not working they will give you a vdr instead of a fine. then you'll have 14 days to repair your car and get the ticket stamped by an mot station and return it to the police.

I've not had a reverse light since November, who needs them anyways? :p

reverse lights not needed and not a endorsable offence, but blue lights can get you nicked for trying to impersonate a police vehicle !!
