1.4 16v AFH - Bike Carb Questions...

Featured Replies

Hi all, sorry if this is a repost but i searched and couldnt find anything....

Basically i have a 6n Valver and i want to put it on carbs I've read through and through the FAQ carb guide but what confuses me is about the wiring as on the thread its a conversion thread so do i need to use the mk2 ignition wiring? and all the mk2 dizzy and coil etc....

I have a set of Yammy R6 carbs and a Manifold, going to be using a swirl pot and facet solid state pump.

Do i and why if i do need all the mk2 parts?

Cheers, Matt

the ecu becomes redundant when using bike carbs.

the Afh dizzy cannot adjust the timing correctly due to no infomation being sent to the ECU, so a mk2 polo dizzy is used, so you need the mk2 polo coil, amp, and wiring to make the dizzy work.

It will run on the AFH ingnition, but not to its full potential, or no where near it.
