Mentioned in the other thread,

Id suggest checking the oil level 1st make sure its fully topped up, hard to select any gears at all?

If thats not it could either be rivets in the gearbox so the gearbox might be on its way it.

Make sure its not release bearing, wheels bearings etc as they can sometimes be a simular sound.

The release bearing is squeaking every now and again when I'm in traffic when the clutch is to the floor, all other gears are fine, all smooth. If it was the release bearing wouldnt it be in all gears? cheers

oh and the wheel bearing is gone aswell, getting replaced on friday, sounds like a woooooooo sound, mostly when doing 35 to 45mph. Damn these cars, wanted it all modded before summer

If the sound goes while in 1st gear and you put your clutch to the floor then its more likely the gear box, again as i said in other thread i will be going on my 2nd next week prob.

Its wank, this cars only done 58k, prob some animal driving it, even the gear knob is ripped, no idea how hard they were changing gear. How much did the box cost and did you just buy from this site?

Gearbox i took a chance on at the time scrapy - £150, and got a friend to fit it, you can get them of some good guys on here for about £50.
