just want something with a bit of luxury :) haha, i'm 22 now, getting old ;)

And aye, they've got air as standard.

The car's gonna stay mainly standard tbh, just lower than standard and a set of bentley hoops, lash my plate on it and job's done.

I test drove one at the weekend and it's made me want one! :) they're just so nice to drive it's unreal!

Very noiceeeee!

Is it just me or do the cars in the background have white bonnets and roofs? :ninja:

protective taping i think

Jesus H that is sweet, what engines are they? you gunna have it for the show season you recon?

Sell the golf but don't sell the polo m8. You are gonna regret it later :p.

Jesus i definatly wouldnt sell the polo for that big ugly bastard.... Panda.... You planning on settling down with 2 kids a wifey a manor and a stiff scotch before bed?

Polo ftw

hahaha not likely as the Panda is now single lmao =p

your just a big gay for getting one of these and selling the polo!!!

selling both those cars is worth it, That looks like the "boss mobile"

Shame they're slow, even the W12!

What was wrong with the 6n?

  • Author

Nowt wrong with the 6n, it's running lovely actually.

there's more to life than just speed! :)

I know you live at home, but I presume you realise you're hoping to run a £40-£60k car? Have you seen how much the service items on these are, bear in mind they share a platform with the Bentley Continental... shit ain't cheap!

Yoof beat me to it. Same story with old Mercs and BMWs. A £60k car costing £1,500 will still have the servicing costs of a £60k car. Factor that in and you'll be fine, but when it does go wrong it'll have you up the wrongun.

Well i've done my sums and already been into VW for some quotes on service items.

They share alot of parts across the Audi range too, A6, A8 platforms mainly and even some with the humble passat! Prices for bits isn't that bad, I know someone who fixed up a water damaged Bentley Continental GT using phaeton parts and they were exactly the same as the bentley ones he removed, but without the bentley stamp and he said they were reasonable.

Brake pads are £80 a set, Disks £150, can do an oil and filter change for under £30, plus with me opting for the 3.0 V6 TDI it's an Audi lump, meaning parts and engines can be found readily :)

What you need to realise is, i'll be getting around £400 a month (after tax etc) from my company... plus i've got a fuel card. Enough to run a Phaeton and live the dream? I think so as long as you're smart and know your VW parts ;)

I'd rather have a Passat CC, mind you I'd also rather have a 20vt 6n! :-D

yeah shame there slow. These are really cheap now. Depreciated loads!

But i know what i'd rather spend my money on lol.

should you by default not then lose your admin status as this is a polo forum and your going for that tank

Advert for the 20v?

Can't beat a huge luxury saloon car.

And the 3.0 V6 TDI isn't that slow, still sub 9 seconds to 60.

Finding one might be hard though because I don't think VW sold many?

Only thing that would put me off is its built on the same D1 platform as the Bently Continental GT and the Audi A8...and you don't see many of those in the local scrappy

as neildubgt said they depreciate loads! my boss has had 2 of the 5.0 litre V10's and they do fair shift! saw sense though and now has an audi RS6 8-)

What engine are you looking for?

  • Author

I'm after a silver or grey 3.0 v6 tdi 4-motion. Standard they're fully loaded, but any of the packs would be a nice bonus... Also the Helios wheels would be nice too, unless there was one without them and it was cheaper, then I'd buy bentley wheels :) the search has started, but I need the polo to sell first so I've got a deposit. Already had one guy really interested, thankfully he's also a 6n nut and will look after her :)
