cheers mush. I'm surprised aswell, not that the car is still here, but that since the cars been advertised, not a single soul has come to view the car. I dont mind as the cars been in daily duty and hasnt skipped a beat.

As it is in use daily, i try and sort things out as they crop up, which they do invariably with driving a car every day. I still love it dearly, but just cannot justify owning 5 cars, 4 of which are old polos and 3 of which are G40's.

G40s do come up cheaper but people forget that they are cheaper for a reason, they usually have serious problems or need major work. this served me well all through last winter and invariably will again this winter, the Mk3 is just an all round more pleasent place to be that the MK2!

I will be fitting a radio this week, as I'm finally bored of the engines tune and will treat the car to an oil and filter change in the next couple of weeks. I do also have a new mini charger belt to fit, as all the seals and bearings are in good condition and have only been run on the standard sized pulley to maintain reliability and longevity!

I am going to be putting new panels on my Scirocco in the next few weeks, when I have time off work. Will then be putting it up for sale, once sold which shouldn't take long I will be straight onto you about this. Really cannot believe it has not sold, but seems a few haven't sold recently.

This! People forget how old these cars actually are, not to mention the amount of hammer the majority have had. It's ridiculous how cheap a good G40 is these days, I say hang on to them... They will be worth something one day :)

how about a mk1 mx5 ;)

yes saf ! Try it on ebay see what it does I'm surprised no one has snatched this up looks mega clean & proper well loooked after !! I've watched two shagged ones go through on ebay & they both made good monies one with a snapped cambelt & one which had been rolled & needed re shelling both went for around 1000-1200 even tho they were goooesy goooesed someone will bite your hand off for one as clean as this glws man !

  • Author

Thanks mate. Yeah I seen those two, was a rathy hefty price someone paid for them both.

I cant really be bothered with timewasters on ebay, much rather it went to someone who was actually going to care about the car.

No-ones come to view it in a year =/

Only costs me 181 quid a year to insure on a classic policy!

i do need this :( swap for mk4 golf? :p

No thanks mate, they are ugly ducklings.

Car returned 40 mpg on a motorway run (328 miles to 52 quid) and 36 mpg combined (308) to 49 the other day.

put 15 quid the other day and ran the car to the red, and got 108 miles.

MOT expires on the 29th, tax on the 31st.

If anyone wants to take it off my hands pre-mot its yours for 1800 no offers, after MOT price will be back up at 1995

<3 :( i wish i saved money.
