Which pads with discs?

Featured Replies

Ok, I have a week off soon, so will be doing loads of jobs on my 6n (as long as the weather holds out  ) and one of which is replacing the brake discs/pads/shoes. So my questions are:

1. I am considering getting these discs Brake Discs - which of the following pads would be the best option for them:

Disc Pads Set No.1

Disc Pads Set No.2

or can anyone suggest which discs/pads would be better for a small budget :) in other words, no green stuff pads :p

2. Upon replacing the rear shoes, will I need this or can I use the originals:

Shoe Fitting Kit

Thanks for the information in advance 8-)

Was hoping to get some extra braking power but meh :) will consider it.

Those discs/pads dont seem any better them OEM! You could try a vented and grooved discs with performance pads- such as EBC/MINTEX/FERRODO.

Or even a standard disc with those pads will be better then OEM!

And obviously a bleed of the brakes will make feel alot more responsive!

Only problem with things like EBC/etc... is the price of them :( on a limited budget so can't afford the cost of EBC discs.

Might just have to go for basic ones until I win the lottery

Nothing wrong with new OEM, as knight said, bleed brakes!
