i think that looks alright tbh, and as bad a rap as saxo's get, a VTR is a lot of bang for your buck, especially for a first car.

can't really comment as my first car was a polo, second was a polo, and 3rd is a golf.

favourite so far has been my second polo which i only had just over a month. But the golf is much quicker and more comfortable.

Man I'm feeling old. Back when I learned to drive you could still buy a Saxo new.

Always had a soft spot for the sporty ones, despite their flaws. Good cars, hence why they were popular to modify. Prefer the pre-facelift headlights tho...

Oh yeah. First car I modded that wasn't a Polo was my current daily.

My first was a mk1 clio 1.9 d, good lil first car it got me every where. Saxo's just have that bad rep which would make me not want one, but you get a lot for the money.

First modded car was a 1.1 mk3 escort in metallic burgundy from saphire cossies with cossies 'dog leg' alloys and a colour coded mk4 xr3i body kit with Chrome rimmed ghia grill. It had full xr3i interior too I'd had a few cars before that but non really moded

same colour and wheels as this

That was far too many years ago to still have a photo of it, at least 12-13 years ago :sad:

Man I'm feeling old. Back when I learned to drive you could still buy a Saxo new.

Cheeky git - when i learned to drive,the Saxo wasn't even a bolt in Citroens nuts,the 2CV wasn't long out of production and the AX had only just got a facelift.

My first car was a beige 9yr old 1983 Escort and the modifications were thin,with wider steelies/tyres,tuned stereo (2x25w Audioline head unit and 100w Pye box shelf speakers made a decent system in those days),and some interior/exterior detailing including Orion chrome-surround grille and Mountney steering wheel.

First engine conversion was a year later in '93 when i put an MG Metro engine in its replacement - a black '88 1.0 Metro City. It was the second of three engines i blew up in nine months of ownership. Other mods include the Mountney wheel i carried over,an equally impressive stereo to play everyones Dreamscape/Helter Skelter/Obsession tapes,and a small amount of fluid drained from the liquid suspension for ride height (already had vented discs,and incredibly,four pot calipers from factory).

Fisrt car i had that was modded was an Opel Ascona B that was

owned by a guy that worked for Tickford...it was proper fast that car.

Poor little Peugeot, I like how those models look, particularly from the front. What happened? Looks like you go rear ended big time.
