hey guys been looking on this forum for a couple of weeks now and have now finally taken delivery of my coupe :D its a 1993 1.3 (AAV engine) and i love it, great to be back to vw again have really missed it :) , haven't had the chance to give it a tidy up yet but will be doin that next week end. anyway heres some pics

its really clean for its age bar a very small dent in back panel and very little surface rust. not sure of my plans for it yet except keep it tidy lol

yeh i thought it was huuge too lol, ideas that have run through my head is lower it a bit, some wide-ish steelies ,debadged grill, remove side strips, colour code bottom half of bumpers, corrado seats, and tidy up engine bay, what you reckon guys?

ok so done a couple small jobs this weekend, just to tidy it up really,

removed rear wiper and yes used a rubber bung while my brother gets his welder fixed then its being welded up properly and hopefully having the boot smoothed and number plate relocated to bumper

side rub strips removed glue and crap is still on therebut i am waiting for my toffee wheel thing to be delivered

also got the car booked in for a TOAD alarm and immobiliser and the fitters are also going to fit central locking and a boot popper :D

Looks very tidy, mate.

Don't forget, make sure you don't keep your toffee wheel in one place too long, keep it moving and lubed well with water.

not much of an update but here goes, was going to chp the springs today to lower it but i have now decided to save for a proper kit so instead i fitted this base spec mk2 golf splitter, it looks ok but i want the gti big bumper spoiler

That splitter looks good dude :) i wouldnt fit the gti splitter, my friend had one on his mk3 and in two days it got ripped off, on a 60/40 kit aswell! Plus, its cheating :-p

your g40 looks well clean, i would love 1 of them but they are quite pricey to buy but insurance is only around £200 a year more than my 1.3

i got quoted £1100 I'm 23 in june with 1 year ncb and 6points

Well i still only possess a provisional licence so I've only driven it a few hundred miles, but I've driven other cars on private land and this feels alot quicker than anything else I've driven :lol: in second is where its best, very rapid.
