next things for me to do are...

-sort out putting the sub into the spare wheel well

-find an audi 80 oil pressure sender so i can wire in my VDO gauges

-respray wheels, unsure of colour any suggestions???

-new dampers and lower springs so the car can go lower on the front ! and stop the squeeking!!!!

Looks good mate. In regards to sticking the sub in the sparewhell recess, I'm looking to do the same as well.

The rear of mine is fully stripped so ill be doing a neat fibre glass build and i think using the wheel recess to build the box in and invert the sub just for 'bling' reasons!

By far its the best use of space in the rear as apposed to having a huge box stuck somewhere.

The white goes well with silver so the wheels could just be cleaned up. That or sand them back to metal and polish up!

cheers mate, when i was sanding them down i did think about bare metal :) I'm gonna be using mdf and sitting it in the well attatched to the mdf if that makes sense? i'll be starting it asap so ill get some pics up matey :)

Yea makes sense. Id build the box in the recess though and not just use the body of the car as i dont think the acoustics will be all too great. That way you have a full sealed box. I'm only inverting mine so the box has more space and better acoustics. Just need to sell my 2 current 15" subs to get a nicer smaller one.

Hardest thing with builds is keeping them light, I've only got a 1ltr and had a £1600 build. The wood from all the build was about as heavy as having my reaer seats in and loaded with 2 passengers! Although deep base with 2 15" subs behind you feels brilliant ha!

Hopefully my build thread will get approved soon so i can get to updating it!

Some how need to find space to neatly make the new build and hide 2 amps 4 monos and 6x9's. My favourite has to be the custom door pods i have, so easy to do.

Youll have to update this when you get it done should be good.

yer I've been told by a few people about builing a box inside the well, I'm not too hot on audio so i'll try my best lol! what have you done your door cards with? I'm looking to retrim mine too you see !

I'll look tonight for you if you like, i might even be able to fabricate some on a low budget if its something you'd be interested in.

The wiring from this just runs through the door gromit with the rest of the wiring but not to the head unit, i have 2 amps, one to power the subs and the other for the door components and read 6x9's.

As i said i'll take a look at the door cards and try get a template design done if you fancy a go yourself, it creates door shelves the length of the door as well as holding the speaker so a nice little mod.

ok mate ye sounds good just let us know :)

looks good pal i really like this :)

Looks ace. Are the Golf rear coilovers a lot stiffer than the Polo ones? I need to find something to stop the rear end sagging when I load the boot up (and soon have a sub in the spare wheel well too). Reverse rake is NFTW.

Possibly smaller tyres on the front? Still heavy though :)

yeah it looks as if you have the same tyres front and rear, and if your lowering it more you may need to change them

especially in this pic ->

thats what I'm doing now :) but i was wondering what size tyres to get ? I'm currently running 175/50/13's so i was thinking maybe 165's or 155's? but i dunno if 155's will make the wheel look abit thin :S what do you guys reckon ?

Hmm, 165's maybe are they 6's or 7's on the front?

I'm actually really down with the low profile, unstretched tyres on the front. Just saying...

I'd go wider on the back rather than narrower on the front, the front looks great imo.
