On a serious note though, our premiums will stay the same and womens will go up. Supposedly the average for an 18 - 24 yr old woman is £1646 fully comp, and male was £2400 something!

What are people driving that costs them that much?!

Some people complain that their insurance is too much but they are actually living beyond their means, if its too much, change the car to something cheaper to insure! I complain cause I'm 21 and both mine together cost me just over £1100 fully comp and thats with the a 300bhp on one. Mind you, the van is only £340 a year fully comp.

Just to respond to you, I'm driving a 1ltr mk3 and my insurance for my first yea un modified is £2100 third party. That is the cheapest I could find! I get put in a high risk category because A: I'm a young male (23) B: I live in Bradford. It's fact that the insurance is high here due to a high Islamic population that have no insurance at all....

I've had several runnings with nearly been rammed off the road by young male Asian drivers younger than me flying around recklesley in brand new top of the range Audis and B&W's. Don't get me mistaken here I'm far from racist it's just a fact in these parts but obv if they even wrote that in statistics there would be up roar. Again no offence intended here just a few simple facts of my area!

I'm not fussed about womens insurance rising, does nothing for me so why bother. What we need is a better council/police force action to catch more of the criminal drivers, make it harder to get away with uninsured driving! (bradford is 50% statistics for uninsured drivers) hence the major increase in price here. Surely prevention is better than over pricing, causing more people to not bother insuring!

if women are less likely to crash explain this then to me why was it whilst driving about yesterday was it a FEMALE and not a male that ran a red light and hit another vehicle whilst on her phone why was it a female driver that reversed into a bollard at asda why was it a woman driver that cut me up almost causing an accident at a junction ill tell you why because women are useless behind the wheel not saying its all women but I'm bloody glad there premiums are rising its about bloody time now we may see women in cars they are more bloody suited to small and slow ones I'm not saying either that blokes are better drivers i know there are loads of morons on the roads i just think its now becoming a little more fair to us blokes as we are no longer being penalised alone
