I'm not expert and second guessing... but surely that would be a no?

I assume there were no L plates on the van. it's illegal to drive on a provisional without L plates and unsupervised... could end in trouble if they have photographic evidence?

By transfering it to your name, you've admitted liability, so by now trying to offload it to another (provisional licence holder) I think you could set yourself up for even greater charges like "perverting the cause of justice" "falsifying evidence" "obstructing the police" and these could lead to a spell in pokey!! so 3 points and a £60 fine seems like the better choice?

forgot to add... your man enough to speed you should take the consequences!

you can get points before you even have a provisional i think

you can get points before your even old enough to drive legally

Everyone above sums up what i think.

Also, don't think a provisional holder is allowed to drive something over so many tones which would include a van anyway so this could MASSIVELY backfire and you'll get banned/locked up for for fraud?!?!

Run the risk if you so dare.

i know a lad that did this for some one, some one offered him some thing like 100 quid to take them for him. iirc the dipshit ended up getting banned and a big fine for it because he wasn't insured on the car and had no licence

My dad managed to get 3 points on his bike licsence, before he passed.

Not even worth doing it mate, because they will check who is insured on the van and there may well be a picture of you driving, and if it goes to court..you could both be screwed!

I've just been caught speeding in my work van, they contacted my boss checked who was insured on it and also provided a picture of me driving.. No way Out!

my mate got 9 points on a provisional then had to go to court he lost 6 of them for his proper liscence but had a massive fine but he is well know by the police now
