I'm thinking of adding this to my breakdown,mainly because my 6N2 polo has 100k on it and its still its original gearbox,,I heard they are very unreliable!

AA site says i will payout uoto £500 with a £25 excess,,and it states all gearbox parts are covered,,has anyone made a gerabox claim or any claim?sound pretty good,just would like peoples views,experiances

I think from memory you have to provide proof of regular servicing and maintenance, which for me meant it was a non-starter as I do it myself.

yes i believe you do,I'm not sure how much proof as i was hoping a stamp in the book would be enough,,my mate is a mechanic,and does mine as a foreinger,i dont get an invoice but do get a stamp in the book from his works.

i bet you need invoicing,,hmmm they offered it me for think £72,,if i payed for servicing that would be about £100,still gotta be worth it if the gearbox goes thats £500+
