Due to reasons of me not passing my test she was sat in a garage for about a year... In that time the feeder pipe on the fuel tank had fully rusted through and leaked all over so first job before she went for her MOT was to replace that..

Managed to pick up a fuel tank i think from a GT as it had the extra multi port fuel lines, managed to loop the lines together as they were un needed

Replacing the tank..Only 2 issues, 1 we had to dismantle the audio set up to get the access hatch in the rear and 2 was trying to just get one of the thicker fuel lines onto the neck of the tank!!

Stuck in a new battery and she started first turn over, took her for the MOT and she passed with only an advisory on the front suspension...

Oh i lie, initially failed on a sticker my house mate stuck on the windscreen.... :x

As she stands now i have stuck on some steelies from a 6n for the wider wheels and lower profiles.

Removed the rear paint from the windows which was one hell of a job using my game reward card and made an absolute mess on the interior of the car!!

I have no stripped out all the audio and i have double the acceleration i had before i must have had a few stone sat in the back with it all almost a fully loaded car!

New wheels

Hoping to get the buckets out by the weekend or whenever my seatbelts arrive and these old Corrado seats installed

Other than that I'm looking to refurb the wheels back to the standard metal and polish until funds allow some new ones.

Install a new audio set up, much neater and smaller in the rear followed by a re-trim.

Hopefully get the underside of the bonnet and if i can ever find someone to get my engine lifter the engine bay painted.

Get it slammed, still unsure how low i can go on my current wheels though.... :?

Need ideas on an internal colour scheme, i was toying with the idea of a high gloss white re-trim/paint to contrast the slightly duller satin black? Any suggestions?

Quick update, i have had the seats in for some time but no pics yet...

But finally got my suspension fit earlier this evening. Took just over 2 hours with very few problems, a little bit of rusted bolts but nothing too difficult.

Few shots of the work and after shots.

quite fond of this ! would look tidy on some 14" RA's ! not that it doesnt look sweet on RZ's :p

Loving that on the RZ's but there's far to much tat in the interior for my liking. :p

I've thought about selling up a few times for a newer motor but obv they were moments of stupidity! I love Mk3's far too much.

Got a few rust spots under wheel arches to sort but other than that the only real issue is the teeny tiny engine!!

Need to get all the RZ's done white, and I'm trying something different with the interior, have a spare dash that I'm in the process of sanding down to be filled and primed, thinking of getting it done in white, matching door cards in white leather(fake =P) roof white instead of murky yellow and then the the floor and rear carpets black and detailing on the white in black...i know it could be hit or miss but think its worth going for, worst that happens is i re paint the dash!

Wish i had the money to re-trim the seats though!!

Any other tips id be happy to take on board!

Saw you driving up little horton lane past dimac autos ! I did a you've been spotted thread but never got a reply then just seen your thread and was like THAT'S HIM THAT'S HIM! hahaha thought I'd pay you a complement! It looked so mean coming up the road I got a bit excited nearly did a little wee! Nice to see a fellow mk3 dubber in Bradford with such a tidy very low mean machine :D

Youve made matt black looks nice!

One and only that I've seen so far.

Mines looks hideous.

Mines was just to cover up that the car had been stripped of its paint by some nice person :-( .

Getting a full respray this week!

Read somewhere today that the door inserts are the same as mk2 chrome ones and I'm looking to get a pair, appears to be some on eBay. Also you ditching the audio set up?? That looked mean!!

i think the chrome inserts are fairly cheap from vw

Alright cheers, I've never really tried buying anything from the dealership
