Insurance Drops

Featured Replies

Just looked at my bank statment and quinn havetaken out £91.99 rather then the usual £198 a month

Comparethemarket sent me messages to say that my renewal is up soon , Although i was waiting for paper work from quinn them selfs and got nothing through. This time last year i was on provisinal with them on my old 1.4 L polo , I then passed and my insurance went upto £204 per month , I then got a 1.9TDI sport and it dropped to £198 (more power less money :s ) , And today its £91.99

I stuck it out for a year on my own policy and its dropped dramaticaly!

With a baby on the way this is what i needed , i get to keep the polo !! :D

Seen a few topics about people going under as nammed drivers , theres no point. Get found out your screwed. My mate got a latter from his insurers the other day to say they have been fronting no idea how they knew must have been people looking for specific cars to see whos driving?

I brought my insurance down by by:

Adding my mum on - Dropped a hell of a lot about £1000

Added my dad on - Dropped a few hundred (not sure exacly 200 / 300 quid)

Haggle with them on the phone if you change car or anything , I declared my coilovers to quinn and they asked for the paper work but that didnt go up.

Supr of the moment thread :D

good going there.

I too stuck at the high insurance for a year,

£204 a month 3rd party F&T for a 6n 1.4 8v.

Year later and it's fully comp (including being able to drive other cars) on a 6n 1.4 16v all for £160 a month.

And i complained at £70 a month :( its now £90 a month, renews in sept.

Last year mine was £2300

This year, it's £1000 :)

last year mine was £3700 got renewal for £1500 .. my fault with a few crashes but nw third year driving n finally got a years no claims , makes lot of difference!

my policy dropped by £59 for the rest of the year, 6 months left so it dropped £120 a year, for going from a mk4 polo 1.4L, to a 1.6 mk2 golf! i thought it was gonna go up up up, insurance companies are full of suprises, good and bad lol
