Raise the rear a tad and it will look spot on. I had the same suspension on my first car (mk2 coupe with a GT engine) and i loved it. Poly arb blocks and so on are a good shout if on a budget but obviously some subframe is best. I had a PPP stage three on my G40 and it was silly good.

Rear beam bushes could be changed if you like. VW original replacements are fine (poly rears aren't so good iirc) and will help where the old crispy ones are a little tired.

Good work and lovely colour.

Yer the next step is a subframe but i cant justify 500quid so ill be looking to buy the stage 2 at some point along with polybushed wishbones. I would do it now but I've got to save for college :-(. Oh yes might higher the back as it came with collars to higher it alittle, does drive much better though.

Ok I've now sold the wheels and really wanting a set of lenso's i got outbid on ebay for a set that needed work.

I'll get pics up in abit but tomorrow i'm getting some alloy centre caps made up to replace the plastic ones so be super shiney......

I got new wheels and the saying is true "wheels make a car look good or bad!". There ronal turbos and new 35mm h&r springs need the arches rolling though et28 as they rub but drives much nicer.

Also gone are the micky mouse mirrors and replaced with new manual wing mirrors and if you look closely its now wearing an audi 80grille

I did the big brake conversion while i was at it. Astra gte calipers pads and flexes with golf gti mk2 256mm discs, alot better than boggo brakes.

Might go back to a smaller mastercylinder as you still need to press the brakes hard.

Yer i just zipptied it to the firewall for time being, i got it from the scrapyard today and i did try out a corsa one but was abit big.

If you do find one the nova bottle is push fitted to the turret.

I cut all the pipes down and now have the rearwiper pipe coming through the bonnet release grommet.

Atleast it lives on and not on the scrapheap :-)

Looks awsome, Shows you doing>?

noo dont mention the scrapheap! body wise its really clean. when i bought it, it didnt come with the ronals. i had it on castelletes which i sold for a 100 and then picked up the bbs wheels for 100 aswell!! I'm looking to get some steffan rs wheels now as i want some stance :-D

what have i done to it since the end of this thread ... ermm a short while after getting it i done major work on it as the thing overheated like crazy ..

has the cylinder head off with a skim, new valves, valve stem seals. done the head gasket, brand new distributor, coil pack, and a full top spec service. new sports ht leads, spark plugs, pipercross panel filter. not too long ago i picked up a 4 branch manifold, and a full scorpion exhaust system for 140! and now it goes like stink!!! got no rear seats in atm and man does it feel nippy for what it is. i even showed up a bmw 120i the other day as i left him for dust at the traffic lights hahah. what a joy this car has been!!! <3
