I'd also be asking why he fiberglassed any holes up, they should of been welded up. I can't see the pictures to well as I'm on my phone but they are Orange peeled then that's just not acceptable and you have every right to ask him to sort it out.

Hmmm, I would be straight back up there complaining. That boot looks utter Gash (imo), if it was the handle smoothed and badge left then it could look alright. Quality of the work looks pretty shit as well, I'd get them to sort it all out, £500 is a lot of money to pay for a shite job.

The bumpers and sides look cool though haha.

For what its worth here is my 2p... most of it may be speculation...

You have gone to some wanky bodyshop, they have done the bare minimum they think they can get away with to get your cash. This has involved a bit of fibreglass and some filler, quick blow over with the gun and hey presto, easy money.

You have gone to pick the car up, pointed out the badge didn't want doing. They have fobbed you off with some bullshit excuse, and said they haven't charged for it anyway, when really it was all included in the price.

Now looking back you have decided you arent all that happy, but the problem is if you take it back they are not going to take it lying down, or perhaps they will buff a bit of orange peel out and feed you more bullshit excuses about why it isn't up to production standards.

In your situation I would put it down as a learning experience and never go there again. The problem with body shops is that they can often get away with doing bad jobs because people often don't know the difference between good and bad. Personally I wouldn't want my car to go back there, you might end up with yet more problems.

As someone has already stated, this is the problem with wandering round wearing fashion accessories, they are a dead giveaway that you are gullable and have too much money. If you walk into a body shop with some descent worn boots on and some dirty jeans then you stand a much better chance. Better still turn up in a rusty transit van and there is no way they will risk fucking you about.

Get the handle deleted at a different bodyshop and fit a boot popper. Smooth rear end looks pretty cool to me!

I think it looks awesome mate, the orange peel is bad though and although not many people will notice it you know it's there and if you're paying for a service it should be how you ask no question. Regardless of what they thought you said or thought would look better you DID NOT want this and you are well within your rights to get it corrected.

At the end of the day you wouldn't walk into a showroom pick a car and then when it comes to pick it up be given a different one because thats what they thought you wanted this is exactly the same you have parted with cash for something that is not right.

That said boot looks mint really like it.

But yea, either try and take it back, or put it down to experience. No way is that worth nearly £500, probably couldve done most of it yourself to a higher quality.
